Create an app that allows registrants to log in and see events on their mobile devices. It will save paper too! Challenge nurses attending conference to compile information about a topic they would like to learn more about and discuss with others in small groups. Do an online auction or raffle instead of having everyone gather in a small room. Such as https://familyhomelr.auctionreg.org/registration

This may go against the grain, but my practice would be more inclined to advocate for SOHN membership if the congress was not the same weekend as the AAO convention. They don't want the whole practice closed.

would love to know the times of when food will be served. I purchased the same food at the café prior to the start of the sessions, and it was put out just afterward for the attendees.

continue updates on vaping, this was very informative

I think it is always a good idea to have at least one session on basic airway management with hands on trach care guidelines. We always seem to have nurses who are either new grads or new to the world of Otolaryngology and who need the basics of hands on care -- NOT research but hands on practical care/troubleshooting/etc.

coffee, breakfast and snacks provided at all breaks.

Content needs to be more specialized and in depth. Current content seems more appropriate for new providers. I would like to see a level for more experienced providers.

Provide more for non NP nurses

Wanted to attend other sessions that were happening at the same time, but they were not offered again; perhaps have sessions offered at subsequent times, and have presenters flip-flop sessions (have at opposite times).

The whole conference including the pharmacology day was great!!! The information presented was cutting edge and contained up to date evidence based practice.

The journal article option (sent out ahead of time) was a nice addition.

Separate rooms for SIG break outs

Do not schedule skills on last day

More Rapid fire, quick and interesting lectures

enjoyed the additions to the "usual" vendors.... since the OTO Expo has become so expensive, it would be nice to see if we could have a wider variety of vendors at our meeting

perhaps local chapters can provide a list of nearby restaurants to go to near the conference, for it's hard to decide where to go, and then hustle through lunch in 50-60 minutes; chapters sponsor a social event, or invite the groups to a certain restaurant to continue the networking. I know it was hard for people who were there on their own to try to engage with others or get meals for every night. Thought it was great to have one of the sponsors do a meal since that helps with people's costs.

eliminate the cosmetics sales vendor. they are not appropriate for our professional conference meetings. they are very pushy and obtrusive too. restructure the trifold schedule so its easier to see and follow the title of course, time and location. maybe add lines between sessions to separate them and visualy easier to follow. this would have been helpful for the Tinnitus talk that was added on at last minute. it was misplaced and hardly anyone showed up d/t confusion of time.

have a general session(s) where nurse can present a day in their workplace life. it will provide a change from all the educational sessions and provide support and encouragement for others nurse Some sessions that I wanted to attend were held at same time as other sessions I wanted to attend so having all sessions available online would help

I love what the congress is already!

Content more based on nurses and our role in caring for patient's in the inpatient/outpatient areas.

Have more doctors do the speaking

SUTURING COURSES...WE SUTURED BANANAS!!! THIS WAS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

I think classes should be given a level of difficulty (novice, experienced, etc..). Often the education is very basic. It is difficult for the APRN's and new nurses to be taught at the same level. I often find we spend a lot of money for this conferrence and the education that I receive does not often reflect this. This is a common concern at the APRN specialty group. We seem to discuss this every year, but no one knows how to change it for the future Also, maybe offer the physician talks at different times. There are often 2 of there speeches at the same time. These are important talks and we have to choose between 2 good speakers.

I understand why the conference was shortened a day to facilitate more attendees and less cost but I miss the extra day that allows for more CEU’s

There were several presenters who started out by stating that they were filling in for someone who had cancelled. Some presentations did not go into any depth and unfortunately did not give much in the way of new knowledge. There was a triage conference and for 30 minutes we talked about the history of triage and the telephone. Also the hotel was right on Bourbon. While the conference rooms and hotel rooms were nice, the area was loud and felt somewhat unprofessional. When I walked over to the physician conference it was a night and day difference. I would recommend making sure the next conference is close by to theirs as it felt more professional. I really enjoyed the Keynote speak for the Daisy award and started off the conference well.

sounds silly but if we could have in the program when snacks/refreshments were to be served, just to save a little $$ on breakfast.I wouldn't have spent $$ on breakfast had I known continental breakfast was going to be available.

like the rapid fire sessions. keep having those.

consider Aubrey Atwater and Elwood Donnelly for key note

the hotel was located in the most disgusting unsafe environment - it was unsafe to walk alone outside at night. I had to step over passed out bodies and walk around the block to take a cab/uber. it was frightening.

Will need updates on CBD and HPV, perhaps rapid fire session

Please provide table for attendees who would like to take notes.

As an inpatient RN without an advanced practice degree, this conference had limited usefulness. There were several sessions that were excellent and provided great information, including the pain management session. However, this conference seemed to be geared more toward APRNs that are practicing in an outpatient setting. This makes sense though, as most of the nurses there were APRNs. Overall, this program was interesting, but not entirely practice-changing.

I feel some of the courses were very basic. As an advanced practice nurse, I am looking for more detailed and advanced sessions. I feel the courses should be noted as "basic" or "advanced". While I respect our nurse presenters, at times they do not have the experience tp provide the advanced information that the nurse practitioners could benefit from. Also, the rooms on the first day were excessively cold and the audio was poor. I do not feel we need an hour dedicated to the "sigs". I feel one session of "sigs" is adequate to meet each persons professional needs

The CORLN luncheon -- I think that the certified nurses should not have to pay for this, it should be a catered lunch for these certified nurses. It should be a special plus for those attending who are certified.

Really enjoyed this venue. Meeting rooms were excellent. A/V was tremendous. Everything was close. Hotel and meeting rooms were one of the best yet.

I found this conference had some similarities to the year prior in Atlanta. It would be nice to have a more diverse set of topics and to cover new ideas.

Have a SIG group for the NP’s.

Nursing opportunities to learn scoping and suturing, not just APP. Not the skill set but maybe learning the process and better understand the anatomy.

It would be great if slides of ALL the lectures were available online prior to meeting. Tables in the meeting rooms would be nice as well.
